Fund for a Palestinian Child, Moaz

The gift of health is never more appreciated than when it is taken away. As humans, our ability to experience the world is largely dependent on our state of health. We walk, breathe, see, and partake in day to day activities only as far as our physical capabilities allow us. The cycle of life generally presumes that youth is the prime time of our health which steadily declines with the wear and tear of advancing age. When a child experiences the premature effects of declining health, the impact is often more visceral, as it marks a sort of disturbance in the typical course of a naturally aging body. More support, generosity, kindness, and assistance are often called for.

Moaz Ghassan is a young boy from Gaza who moved to Egypt with his family to be treated for kidney failure. A small child, Moaz has gone through more health challenges in his short life than many will over the course of an entire lifetime. In the wake of the social and political turmoil that Palestine has seen in recent times, coupled with a serious health ailment requiring advanced treatment, Moaz and his family have gone through an unprecedented amount of hardship over the past year.

The hefty costs of medical treatment are only amplified by the family’s struggle to meet day-to-day living expenses. Relocating to Egypt and adjusting to a vastly new living environment has proven to be a challenge to say the least. To this end, Unheard Cries is partnering with on-ground representatives in Egypt to assist Moaz and his family with covering the costs of both his medical treatment and their living expenses. This will allow them to focus on Moaz’s health and well-being without the added burden of financial constraints.

Your generous donations can help provide hope, healing, and a new beginning to Moaz and his struggling family. Every dollar counts. Help us ease the heavy load of childhood illness and bring a smile to the faces of a family that has gone through enough hardship.
