School Funding for 16 Students in Upper Egypt
As the new school year commences, students and their families all over the world are preparing for an exciting new beginning by purchasing school supplies, ironing school uniforms, and counting the costs of tuition. The promise of a new academic year is often inextricably linked to a sense of renewed hope, a clean slate, and an optimistic anticipation for all that lies ahead. For many students living in poverty, however, the financial burdens of an education pose a yearly threat to their ability to continue their academic journeys.
16 ambitious and determined students living in Upper Egypt are currently in urgent need of financial support to be able to participate in the new school year. Their families’ daily hardships of living in poverty make it difficult for them to afford the costs of school tuition and supplies. If the students cannot meet these costs, the continuation of their education is at stake, and on a larger scale, their opportunity to break their families’ cycle of poverty.
Unheard Cries is partnering with on-ground representatives in Egypt to aid these students and their families in covering the financial costs of their schooling. Each student needs $115 to continue their education. These funds would cover each student’s tuition, transportation, school supplies (including pens, pencils, notebooks, and backpacks), and monthly tutoring.
Every dollar collected will make a difference in a student’s life and their future. Help us ease the financial burden of these struggling students and their families so that they too may experience the joy and excitement of a new academic year.
